Convert minutes to milliseconds, or enter timer-style minutes, seconds, and ms without doing the parts by hand.

How to use our Minutes to Milliseconds Converter
- Choose How do you want to enter the time?: use Enter minutes for a value like 1.5, or Enter minutes, seconds, ms for a timer-style value.
- Fill in the visible time fields, such as Minutes (min) or Whole minutes (min), Extra seconds (seconds), and Extra milliseconds (ms).
- Open Advanced options only if you need a different Milliseconds rounding choice or a different Number style for pasting.
- Select Calculate, then use Milliseconds as the main answer and Copy-ready milliseconds when you need a plain value for code, a spreadsheet, or a timer setting.
- Sanity-check the result with Same time in seconds and Time entered; for example, 1.5 minutes should show 90 seconds and 90,000 ms.

Definitions
Millisecond (ms): One-thousandth of a second. There are 1000 milliseconds in 1 second.
Minute (min): A time unit equal to 60 seconds.
Minutes (min): The decimal minutes value used in the minutes-only mode. For example, 1.5 minutes means 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Extra seconds (seconds): The seconds part of a timer-style entry after the whole minutes. It must be from 0 up to less than 60.
Extra milliseconds (ms): The millisecond part of a timer-style entry after the seconds. It must be from 0 up to less than 1000.
Milliseconds rounding: The rule used to keep the exact value or round it to a whole, tenth, hundredth, or thousandth of a millisecond.
Copy-ready milliseconds: The same converted millisecond value without commas or unit words, made for pasting into code, spreadsheets, timers, or data fields.
Signed time offset: A time value that can be positive or negative. In minutes-only mode, a negative result means a negative offset, not a normal elapsed duration.
Common mistakes and quick fixes
Mistake: Typing a timer value like 1:30 into Minutes (min) .
Fix: Change How do you want to enter the time? to Enter minutes, seconds, ms , then use Whole minutes (min) and Extra seconds (seconds) .
Mistake: Entering 90 in Extra seconds (seconds) .
Fix: Put 1 more minute in Whole minutes (min) and put 30 in Extra seconds (seconds) , because extra seconds must be less than 60.
Mistake: Entering 1500 in Extra milliseconds (ms) .
Fix: Add 1 second to Extra seconds (seconds) and put 500 in Extra milliseconds (ms) , because extra milliseconds must be less than 1000.
Mistake: Choosing Nearest whole millisecond under Milliseconds rounding when you need the exact decimal millisecond value.
Fix: Use Exact if possible for Milliseconds rounding unless the place you are pasting into only accepts whole milliseconds.
Mistake: Copying the comma-formatted Milliseconds value into code that does not allow commas.
Fix: Use Copy-ready milliseconds , or set Number style to Plain number for copying .
Limitations & Key Assumptions / Boundary Conditions
- The converter uses exact unit relationships: 1 minute is 60 seconds, and 1 second is 1000 milliseconds.
- Minutes (min) can be negative because signed offsets are valid in some data work, but timer-style parts cannot be negative.
- In parts mode, Extra seconds (seconds) must be less than 60 and Extra milliseconds (ms) must be less than 1000. Convert larger values into the next bigger unit first.
- Rounding changes the displayed Milliseconds, Copy-ready milliseconds, and Same time in seconds so they stay consistent.
- Very large values may be blocked if they cannot be displayed safely as a finite number.
- This converter does not handle clock times, dates, time zones, leap seconds, or calendar durations. It only converts a length of time or a signed time offset.
Methodology
Conversion steps
The converter uses one of two paths based on How do you want to enter the time?. In minutes-only mode, it multiplies the entered minutes by the number of milliseconds in one minute.
total_milliseconds = minutes_decimal * 60000
In timer-style parts mode, it turns the whole minutes and extra seconds into milliseconds, then adds the extra milliseconds.
total_milliseconds = (part_minutes * 60 * 1000) + (part_seconds * 1000) + part_milliseconds
The seconds check is calculated from the same millisecond value that is shown to the user.
total_seconds = total_milliseconds / 1000
Rounding
If Milliseconds rounding is set to Exact if possible, the converter keeps the exact calculated value. If a rounding option is selected, it rounds to the nearest step.
rounded_ms = round(total_milliseconds / step) * step
The step is 1 for whole milliseconds, 0.1 for tenths, 0.01 for hundredths, and 0.001 for thousandths. The Copy-ready milliseconds value uses the same rounded value as Milliseconds.
Mini-example
For 2 whole minutes, 3.456 extra seconds, and 789 extra milliseconds, the calculation is 2 * 60 * 1000 + 3.456 * 1000 + 789 = 124245 ms. The seconds check is 124245 / 1000 = 124.245 seconds.
Input checks
Blank fields, non-number text, infinite values, and values too large for safe display cause an error. In parts mode, Whole minutes (min) must be 0 or more, Extra seconds (seconds) must be at least 0 and less than 60, and Extra milliseconds (ms) must be at least 0 and less than 1000. Hidden fields from the other input style are not used.
