Methodology
How the conversion works
Volume conversions use a cubed length factor. Since 1 yard = 0.9144 meter exactly, converting cubic yards to cubic meters means cubing 0.9144.
m^3 = yd^3 x (0.9144)^3
m^3 = yd^3 x 0.764554857984
For the reverse direction, divide by that same cubed factor.
yd^3 = m^3 / (0.9144)^3
