- Decimal pounds are allowed. Decimal stones are accepted as math, but mixed body weights are usually written as whole stones plus pounds.
- The default pounds rule accepts 14 or more pounds and rewrites the entry; the strict rule blocks that entry until pounds is less than 14.
- Rounding changes only the displayed Weight in kilograms. The Unrounded kilogram value shows the calculation before rounding.

The calculator first changes the mixed stones and pounds entry into total pounds. One stone is treated as 14 pounds [1].

Pounds check
To help catch entries like 10 st 16 lb, the calculator rewrites the total pounds back into stones and leftover pounds.

If the Pounds entry rule is set to allow rewriting, pounds of 14 or more still calculate. If the rule is strict, pounds of 14 or more are treated as an error.
Mini-example
For 11 in Stones and 4 in Pounds, total pounds is 11 * 14 + 4 = 158 lb. The kilogram calculation is 158 * 0.45359237 = 71.66759446 kg, which rounds to 71.67 kg when 2 decimal places are selected.
