- Fluid ounces are volume units. They do not tell you how many ounces an ingredient weighs.
- The kitchen mix uses whole quarts first, then whole pints, then leftover cups. A decimal leftover cup is kept instead of rounded away.
- The milliliter result uses 29.5735295625 milliliters per US fluid ounce and is rounded in the display, so the last decimal may differ from a rounded table.
- Very large cup amounts are formatted for readability, but normal kitchen measuring tools may not match that precision.
Methodology
How the conversion is calculated
The entered Cups value is treated as a US cup amount. The converter first makes the recipe-friendly mix, then also reports the same volume as pints, quarts, fluid ounces, and milliliters.

For the kitchen mix, the converter counts the biggest common units first.

Worked example
