We are a small team based in Perth, Western Australia. After building over 100 fertility calculators in our PregnancyChanceCalculator.com project, we wanted to work on more general calculators that help with everyday problems in physics, electronics, optics, and measurement.
What we do
We publish calculators to help people solve problems in physics, electronics, optics, and general measurement. We focus on:
- Clear inputs and labels
- Sensible defaults
- Mobile-first layouts
- Results that show the key steps or assumptions
Editorial and calculator policy
We try to keep each page consistent:
- Sources: We prefer primary references, standards, manufacturer datasheets, and reputable educational resources.
- Assumptions: If a calculator uses a typical value (for example, room temperature, standard gravity, or ideal components), we state it near the result.
- Limits: If a model is an approximation (for example, ideal capacitors, no parasitics, no losses), we say so.
- Updates: We revise calculators when we find errors, when users report issues, or when we improve the UI.
Corrections and feedback
If you spot an error or have a better reference, email us with the page URL and what you think is wrong.

Privacy and data handling
We design calculators to put privacy first. Calculator inputs only run in your browser; you can even load a page and turn off your internet – the calculator will still work. We use only basic analytics to understand usage (for example, which pages are popular and whether the page loads properly).
For details, see our Privacy Policy.
How we fund the site
We use display advertising to help cover hosting and development costs and keep our calculators free. Advertisers do not influence calculator outputs, assumptions, or recommendations.
Disclaimer
LumenCalculator.com provides educational information only. It is not professional engineering advice. If you are using results for safety-critical work, verify with appropriate standards, datasheets, and a qualified professional.
